In 2023, the average life satisfaction across the EU reached 7.3 points on a 10-point scale, according to Eurostat. The survey revealed that most Europeans were generally satisfied with their lives, with only Bulgaria falling below a score of 6.
Poland Scores High
Poland stood out with an impressive score of 7.6, tying with Ireland and the Netherlands. Finland led the ranking with 7.8 points, followed by Belgium, Austria, Romania, and Slovenia (all scoring 7.7). On the lower end, Bulgaria scored the lowest (5.9), with Latvia and Greece next at 6.9.

Eurostat emphasized that life satisfaction is shaped by factors such as age, education, financial stability, and personal priorities. Interestingly, Poland’s score dropped slightly by 0.1 points compared to 2022, a trend seen in several other countries, including Finland and the Netherlands.
