    Poland Reveals Olympic Team for Paris 2024, Names Flag Bearers

    On Monday, the Polish Olympic Committee unveiled its roster for the Paris 2024 Olympics, featuring 213 athletes. In a historic first, the team includes more women (113) than men (100). Additionally, Poland can field 18 reserve athletes: 12 women and 6 men. Anita Włodarczyk and Przemysław Zamojski have been chosen to carry the Polish flag at the opening ceremony of the XXXIII Olympiad in Paris.

    The Polish athletes will be supported by a contingent of 251 staff members, including 110 coaches. The Polish team will compete in 22 sports and 28 disciplines. The President of the Polish Olympic Committee, Tomasz Majewski, confirmed the team’s readiness and logistics from Paris.

    The equestrian team will bring along 12 horses, underscoring Poland’s robust participation in equestrian events. The overall coordination of the team falls to 13 members of the Polish Olympic mission, led by Majewski, a two-time Olympic shot-put champion.

    The youngest athlete on the team is Anastazja Kuś, born May 11, 2007, who will compete in athletics. The youngest male athlete is Miłosz Redzimski, a table tennis player born September 10, 2006. The oldest athletes are equestrians Katarzyna Milczarek, born September 2, 1965, and Robert Powała, born October 12, 1971.

    The Polish Olympic Committee has also named its flag bearers: Anita Włodarczyk, a three-time Olympic hammer throw champion, and Przemysław Zamojski, captain of the 3×3 basketball team. 

    The Paris 2024 Olympic Games will begin on July 26 and conclude on August 11, 2024.
