In a captivating fusion of tradition and contemporary design, Polish Airlines LOT has introduced new uniform accessories for their flight and ground crew. These additions draw inspiration from the Young Poland art movement, thanks to a collaboration with the Polish fashion brand LANCERTO. The new accessories prominently feature the hollyhock flower, symbolizing elegance and Polish cultural identity.
Artistic Inspiration and Cultural Heritage
This new collection represents LOT’s dedication to blending modern Polish design with rich cultural heritage. The hollyhock, a flower emblematic of Polish summers, is now elegantly incorporated into scarves and pocket squares. This botanical motif, seen in the works of artists such as Stanisław Wyspiański, Olga Boznańska, and Józef Mehoffer, conveys tranquillity and sophistication. The designs aim to evoke serene Polish landscapes, enriching the passenger experience with a touch of national elegance.
Uniform Details
Female flight attendants will wear white scarves adorned with red hollyhocks and a navy trim. Senior cabin crew members will sport scarves with a navy background, red flowers, and a red trim. Male staff will have pocket squares with similar floral patterns and ties featuring LOT’s iconic crane symbol, designed by Tadeusz Lucjan Gronowski. Flight attendants’ ties will be navy with small red cranes, senior staff ties will be red with navy cranes, and ground staff ties will feature a single crane on red.
