    Polish Music on Stage – US Edition

    The second installment of the “Polish Music on Stage / US Edition” project, organized by the National Institute of Music and Dance, kicked off with a performance by the Cracow Duo: Kalinowski & Szlezer at the Holocaust Museum in Los Angeles in 2023.

    Promoting Polish Music:
    This project’s aim is to promote and popularize Polish music in the United States. Strategic partners for this endeavor include the Polish Cultural Institute in New York and the Polish Music Center in Los Angeles.

    US Tour:
    The 2023 concerts in the USA mark the second part of the two-year project, funded by the Inspiring Culture program. The Cracow Duo, consisting of cellist Jan Kalinowski and pianist Marek Szlezer, will present a diverse repertoire of Polish music, spanning from the 19th century to contemporary compositions.

    Diverse Program:
    The performances will feature works by renowned Polish composers with Jewish roots, like Aleksander Tansman and Mieczysław Weinberg, along with compositions by Polish-American artists, emphasizing the cultural connections between Poland and the United States.

    Educational Initiatives:
    The project, in collaboration with the Polish Cultural Institute and the Polish Music Center, aims to create educational opportunities, expand cultural exchange, and strengthen ties between the two countries.
