    Estimated reading time: 2 minutes

The Polish Prime Minister announced on Wednesday that he anticipates the Defense Minister will deliver a report shortly regarding an inquiry into the source of a peculiar military object discovered near the northern city of Bydgoszcz.

In late April, an unknown object was discovered in a forest close to the city, and despite efforts to identify its origin, it remains a mystery. There are speculations that the object could be a foreign missile, but nothing has been confirmed yet.

According to General Tomasz Piotrowski, the Operational Commander of the Polish Armed Forces, investigators are currently working to determine the origins of the mysterious object found in the forest near the city. Additionally, they are investigating the circumstances surrounding its unexpected appearance in the area.

During a press conference on Wednesday, Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki was questioned by journalists about the investigation’s delay and why it took so long to commence. In response, he stated that he anticipates Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Mariusz Błaszczak will provide a report on the matter in the near future.

Moreover, he mentioned that experts are carrying out a comprehensive analysis of both the object and the location where it was found.

On April 27, the Defense Ministry revealed that the remnants of an anonymous military object were discovered in Zamość, 15 km away from Bydgoszcz. However, they emphasized that the object did not jeopardize the safety of the neighbouring residents. Subsequently, the Gdańsk District Prosecutor initiated an inquiry into the matter.

General Piotrowski alluded to a mid-December incident last year when Russia carried out a massive aerial assault on Ukraine. He also highlighted Russia’s efforts to wage psychological warfare.
