“Political saboteurs.” Morawiecki tears into the halt of Baltic investments [VIDEO]

Mateusz Morawiecki wrote that the Tusk government, “thanks to the extraordinary activity of political saboteurs, both foreign and domestic,” is destroying yet another project crucial for the Polish economy. The former prime minister stressed that Poland’s economy requires investment, adding that the country must once again look to the Baltic Sea as a major national opportunity and that everything we do must be “powered by Poland”.

The deep-water container terminal in Świnoujście has been blocked, while other key investments have been abandoned. In his latest recording, the former prime minister lists further projects that have been halted despite their fundamental importance for Poland’s development and for enabling the country’s independence.

Morawiecki recalled that work on building the terminal in Świnoujście had been ongoing for years – among others, the fairway to Szczecin had been deepened to 12.5 meters and new quays had been constructed.

The former prime minister wrote that the Tusk government “thanks to the extraordinary activity of political saboteurs, both foreign and domestic, is destroying yet another project crucial for the Polish economy.”

“Someone didn’t like it”

The expected revenue for the state budget from operating this terminal had been estimated in the billions of złoty. Additionally, thousands of jobs would have been created. – But of course, this is competition for the port in Rostock, Hamburg, and for Dutch ports. And maybe someone didn’t like that – Morawiecki asks in the recording.

Listing further investments in profitable coastal infrastructure pursued under the United Right government, he added that the Tusk government “is halting, slowing down, and handing over influence to foreign interests.” – Poland’s economy requires investment. We must once again look at the Baltic Sea as our great, national opportunity. Everything we do must be “powered by Poland” – he said, emphasizing the need for independence.
