During the National Future Congress of the Institute of National Remembrance (IPN) in Łódź, President of the Republic of Poland Karol Nawrocki announced the establishment of the Youth Council at the Office of the President. The Council brings together representatives from various backgrounds of the young generation.
Youth at the Center of Presidential Initiatives
At the National Future Congress, held at the Sports Bay of the Łódź University of Technology under the slogan “History Speaks Through Generations,” President Karol Nawrocki announced the creation of the Youth Council at the President’s Office. It is the first broad advisory body established by the head of state, comprising forty individuals representing a variety of circles, from student and scouting communities to artistic, academic, and patriotic groups.
“You, dear youth, are free from certain constraints that, in the adult world, often hinder the development of the Republic. This gene of positive youthful audacity that drives progress, that is what I need from you as the President of the Republic of Poland,”
said Karol Nawrocki.
The President emphasized his commitment to ensuring a wide representation of different viewpoints.
“I want the Youth Council to include free people and people who are positively audacious, representing various political backgrounds, from conservative to liberal, from right to left,”
he added.
Among the appointed members are representatives of youth councils, social organizations, and academic circles. The Council’s work will be supported by the Deputy Head of the Chancellery of the President of the Republic of Poland, Adam Andruszkiewicz.
The members of the Council include: Michał Adamczuk, Michał Barnaś, Julia Bednarska-Leśniak, Weronika Chmiela, Adam Goleński, Blanka Kiesz, Gabriela Kleczkowska, Miłosz Kozikowski, Mikołaj Krystian, Arkadiusz Lech, Mateusz Łukomski, Teresa Medlakowska, Wojciech Michalski, Adrian Orłów, Marcin Osowski, Adam Paczyna, Karolina Pawlak, Zuzanna Pawłowska, Filip Polejowski, Tomasz Pułtuski, Szymon Rybak, Nina Sławińska, Mikołaj Sobański-Jóźwiak, Sylwester Stachurski, Gracjan Szuwała, Oskar Śliwka, Hubert Taładaj, Adrian Tomicki, Damian Walczyk, Piotr Wasilewski, Karolina Wieczerzak, Antoni Wyligała, Mikołaj Zacny, and Małgorzata Żuk.
Debate on Modern Historical Education
During the congress, the President also took part in the debate titled “Modern Historical Education as a Factor Shaping the Patriotism of Young Generations of Poles.”
“Patriotism is always the same – love for the Homeland, for the national community, for the values that stand behind this nation,”
he emphasized.
Nawrocki encouraged young people to engage in deeper historical discussions and to use modern technologies in promoting patriotic values.
“We bear the responsibility of entering the technological revolution in the field of historical and patriotic storytelling. We cannot ensure security without developing new technologies. This is the reality of the 21st century,”
said the President.
The National Future Congress was organized by the Łódź branch of the Institute of National Remembrance. The event was held under the honorary patronage of the President of the Republic of Poland, Karol Nawrocki. Its aim was to present the history of Poland to the young generation in a modern and engaging way.
