“The manual steering of prosecutorial actions has entered a new phase. Presidential Minister Adam Andruszkiewicz has become a target of Żurek’s neo-prosecutor’s office”, writes the leader of Law and Justice (PiS), Jarosław Kaczyński, on social media. “Next year are the elections. This lawlessness will end”, he adds.
Adam Andruszkiewicz, Secretary of State in the Chancellery of the President of the Republic of Poland, revealed today on TV Republika that the prosecution under Waldemar Żurek, after 12 years, has resumed an investigation into his case.
“For 12 years, there has been an investigation regarding the alleged falsification of signatures on electoral lists, which has been repeatedly reported by the media. This investigation insinuated that I was involved. However, for 11 years of this investigation, during which I repeatedly participated in proceedings, was summoned by the prosecution, providing, for example, handwriting samples, even in 2025 the prosecution stated that there was no basis to press charges against me. Several expert graphology opinions were issued, clearly confirming that I did not participate in falsifying signatures. A miracle happened – even after 12 years, as we can see. Suddenly, I received a letter from the prosecution summoning me as a suspect in this matter”, the politician from the President’s Chancellery recounted.
The case of the presidential minister has caused a wide stir on social media. Politicians, journalists, and lawyers alike have expressed the opinion that it is hard to believe this is coincidental.
