Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki announced on Wednesday that production of Krab self-propelled howitzers would be increased both to serve Poland’s Army and for export.
At a press conference held at Huta Stalowa Wola, the plant responsible for manufacturing Krabs, Prime Minister Morawiecki announced that the vehicle order had been raised to 48 units annually. However, the facility was capable of producing 50 of them each year.
The prime minister continued, stating that Krabs would also be created for overseas sales. “It is a highly sought-after item globally today,” he asserted.
Morawiecki also highlighted the need to stop using outdated, post-Soviet military equipment.
Ukraine has been given a number of Krabs from Poland.
