Przemysław Czarnek on March 8: “Women must be given an entire system for a dignified life”

Prof. Przemysław Czarnek, the Law and Justice (PiS) candidate for prime minister, announced that he will organize numerous meetings with Poles over the coming months. On the occasion of March 8, he also spoke about the special role of women. “Women must be given the conditions that allow them, while raising children, to develop, build a career, reach the very top – an academic career, a career in business, a career in journalism, or in any other field. We can discuss how to do this, once again using arguments, not insults, hate, or manipulation,” emphasized Przemysław Czarnek, former Minister of National Education.

During the “MeetUpPiS” event, Mariusz Błaszczak stressed that yesterday party leader Jarosław Kaczyński presented Przemysław Czarnek’s candidacy, which was later unanimously approved by the Law and Justice (PiS) Political Committee. He also announced further actions by the party, adding that meetings will also be held in municipalities across Poland.

Prof. Czarnek then took the floor. He emphasized that the coming months will be of particular importance for Poland’s future. As he said, “There will be no democracy in Poland if there is no freedom in the flow of information.” He added that freedom built on lies leads to enslavement and therefore the role of the media is especially important.wo

“This is not a place to give birth”

He also pointed to what he described as a dangerous idea that pregnant women could give birth in emergency departments.

“Women must be provided with an entire system for a dignified life in every respect. This also applies to that very important moment of bringing children into the world in the best possible conditions. Not among people who have suffered heart attacks, strokes, who are there after fights, often under the influence of alcohol, or after accidents. This is not a place to give birth,” Prof. Czarnek stressed.

He added that it is important for women to be able both to raise children and to pursue their development.

“In every other respect as well, women must be given the conditions that allow them, while raising children, to develop, build a career, reach the very top – an academic career, a career in business, a career in journalism, or in any other field. We can discuss how to achieve this, again through arguments, not through scolding, hate, or manipulation. Or by putting words into the mouths of participants in the debate that they never said. You remember many things from the time when I was a minister,” he said.

The former head of the Ministry of National Education also handed out flowers to the women present in the audience.

He announced that soon Law and Justice (PiS) will organize numerous meetings across Poland in order to talk with Poles about the party’s program.
