Safety education for children is essential, especially as they embark on their school journey. The 16th edition of the “Akademia Bezpiecznego Puchatka” program, under the patronage of the Police, aims to teach first-grade students critical safety skills. Over 3 million children have already participated, benefiting from free, expertly designed educational materials.
The program provides teachers with resources, including presentations, films, and lesson plans, crafted by psychologists and pedagogical experts. These six lessons cover road safety, internet awareness, and more. At the end, students complete a Safety Test, and participating schools receive a certificate recognizing their efforts.
Parents play a key role in reinforcing safety practices. This year’s program includes infographics to help families continue safety education at home. The initiative empowers both children and parents to handle everyday challenges confidently.
Nationwide Impact
The program has reached 240,000 students and 13,000 teachers in the 2023/2024 school year alone. With a 98% satisfaction rate among educators, the initiative continues to grow. Schools can join by registering at www.akademiapuchatka.pl.
