Security services force entry into President Nawrocki’s family home amid wave of false emergency calls targeting Poland’s right wing

Presidential spokesperson Rafał Leśkiewicz reported another false emergency call made to Poland’s 112 emergency number. This time, the intervention concerned the family home of President Karol Nawrocki in Gdańsk. According to Leśkiewicz, officers forced the door open and entered the apartment while no one was at home. Similar incidents have targeted journalists from TV Republika and public figures associated with the political right for several days.

Presidential spokesperson Rafał Leśkiewicz announced on social media that another false emergency report had led to an intervention by the security services.

According to his statement, the report this time concerned the family home of President Karol Nawrocki in Gdańsk. “In the absence of the residents, the services forced the door open and entered the apartment,” Leśkiewicz wrote.

He recalled that for several days there has been a series of similar incidents targeting journalists and public figures linked to right-wing circles. The incidents involve anonymous reports submitted to the 112 emergency number, resulting in interventions by the authorities at private homes.

Leśkiewicz stated that “for several days the authorities have been unable to respond appropriately.” He also stressed that, although the current targets are public figures, such threats, as he noted, “could affect anyone.”

The representative of the Presidential Chancellery also informed the public about measures taken by presidential officials. According to Leśkiewicz, last Monday, the matter was addressed by the head of the National Security Bureau, Bartosz Grodecki.

“Later today, as a matter of urgency and on behalf of the President of the Republic of Poland, Head of the Presidential Cabinet Minister Paweł Szefernaker will meet with Minister of the Interior and Administration Marcin Kierwiński,”

Leśkiewicz announced.
