Yesterday – on the occasion of the end of 2025 – the President of the Republic of Poland, Karol Nawrocki, delivered his first New Year’s address. Today, a short video showing preparations for the speech appeared on the head of state’s social media profile.
The New Year’s address by the President of the Republic of Poland is already a tradition. On Thursday, Karol Nawrocki, for the first time in the role of head of state, addressed Polish women and men – precisely on the occasion of the beginning of the New Year.
The President admitted that the past year had been “without a doubt one of the most important” for him.
“In the past year, through their choice, Poles said clearly – ‘we do not like what is happening.’ They clearly showed that the affairs of the state are not going in the right direction, that change is needed, that the voice of citizens must once again be the decisive voice. You have indicated the direction in which we should move. This new, good direction in 2026 must therefore mean development, security, and a better life for citizens,” he said.
The address touched on various issues: healthcare, international politics, problems in the education system, the economy, and security.

Today, President Nawrocki once again addressed Poles – this time, however, via a post on social media. “May 2026 be a year of a new good direction. For Poland. For Poles,” he wrote.
In addition to the wishes, the post includes a short video showing the behind-the-scenes of yesterday’s address. We see the President’s preparations “from the inside.”
The post by Karol Nawrocki on the X platform was commented on by the deputy head of his chancellery – Adam Andruszkiewicz.
“At the beginning of the term, we took on the challenge of making President Karol Nawrocki the best-connected Polish politician online. And subjectively, I believe we succeeded. But this is also thanks to you. To your positive activity supporting us. Thank you,” we read.
