The anniversary gala for the Academy Award-winning composer Jan A.P. Kaczmarek, Patrick Doyle’s birthday at the NOSPR, and the spectacular Hans Zimmer Live show at TAURON Arena Kraków. This and much, much more awaits the attendees of the 16th Film Music Festival!

The festival will start on May 25

“Faced by the challenges posed by the pandemic, as well as the war that broke out at our doorstep, many of us have taken refuge in cinematic works – either trying to glimpse into the future or relive the amazing moments from our childhood. The headline of this year’s edition of the Film Music Festival – Out of Space – stands for everything that takes us to other places and responds to our longing to explore the unknown. We are going to transcend the predictable formats and give way to experiments, exploring and provocations. One thing is certain: the FMF will continue to stir emotions by asking essential questions.”,

says Carolina Pietyra, Director of the Krakow Festival Office, the organiser of the event.

The aim of the festival is to bring about new ideas and evoke new emotions. The first part of the event will be devoted to the middle generation of Polish composers, including Wojtek Urbański.

This year’s FMF will be accompanied by an unusual exhibition organised jointly with the Manggha Museum of Japanese Art and Technology.
