The police are pursuing the so-called “Zorro of Tarnów,” who displayed a banner atop a tenement roof during a rally for Rafał Trzaskowski. The search for the masked man is being conducted on a large scale—authorities are reviewing surveillance footage and interviewing witnesses.
On Thursday, Rafał Trzaskowski held a rally in Tarnów. However, it was “Zorro” who drew the most attention. “Yesterday, we secured evidence in the form of the banner. We inspected the building. Unfortunately, we were unable to apprehend the man. He managed to escape. The conditions made it difficult to detain him. He was on a rooftop and moving through an area where it was challenging to capture him,”
said Junior Aspirant Kamil Wójcik, the press officer for the Tarnów police, in a statement to the news portal Niezależna.pl.

We are conducting proceedings in a case of a misdemeanour under Article 63a—placing a banner without the owner’s permission. We are working to determine the circumstances and identify the perpetrator,”
he added.
But that is not all. The police are also reviewing footage from the city’s surveillance system and from security cameras mounted on neighbouring tenement buildings.
Catching the perpetrator may prove difficult for law enforcement. The masked “Zorro” was clever and elusive, like a fox. The narrative evokes memories of Sergeant Garcia, who was repeatedly outwitted by the cunning hero clad in black…
