President Hosts Baltic Leaders at Belweder Palace

Today, at the invitation of the President of the Republic of Poland, the heads of state from the Baltic Sea region – Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, and Denmark – will arrive in Warsaw. Volodymyr Zelensky will join the talks by phone. This is related to Karol Nawrocki’s planned visit to the USA next week and his meeting with Donald Trump.

“At the invitation of President Karol Nawrocki, today the Presidents of Lithuania – Gitanas Nausėda, Latvia – Edgars Rinkēvičs, Estonia – Alar Karis, as well as the Prime Minister of Denmark, Mette Frederiksen, will come to Warsaw. At the Belweder Palace, consultations of the leaders of the Baltic Sea region states will take place ahead of the President’s visit to Washington next week,” the Chancellery of the President of the Republic of Poland announced today.

The meeting is scheduled to start at 6:00 p.m. Head of the Presidential International Policy Bureau, Marcin Przydacz, emphasizing the importance of the gathering, stated that it is “a preliminary consultation before the upcoming visit to Washington.”

The talks are expected to last about 1.5 hours. Afterwards, the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, will join the discussion via videoconference.

The war in Ukraine will be one of the main topics of today’s meeting. On Friday, the President will hold talks with the President of Moldova, Maia Sandu, and on Saturday – with NATO Secretary General, Mark Rutte.

Nawrocki will visit Washington on September 3 at the invitation of the President of the USA, Donald Trump. This will be the President’s first foreign visit.
