The Three Kings’ Procession in Krakow: A Tradition of Faith and Charity

The 15th edition of the Three Kings’ Procession in Krakow will take place on January 6th, following the tradition of gathering from three different city locations to meet at the Main Market Square and honor the newborn Jesus.

This year’s theme is “Bow down, O Kings!” inspired by the 2025th anniversary of Christ’s birth and the 1000th anniversary of Poland’s first king, Bolesław Chrobry. The procession will feature historical Polish rulers alongside the biblical kings.

    Procession Routes

The procession will start from three key locations:

    • The Blue (African) procession from Matejki Square at 11:40 AM
    • The Green (Asian) procession from Dębniki at 11:00 AM
    • The Red (European) procession from Wawel Hill at 11:00 AM

    Traffic Disruptions

Expect public transport delays around the procession routes, including major streets like Bałuckiego, Piłsudskiego, and Zwierzyniecka.

    Charity Initiative

As in previous years, the procession will support the housing project for homeless people run by the Dzieło Pomocy św. Ojca Pio, offering shelter and a path to self-sufficiency for individuals in need.
