Former Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki has published a video online in which he accuses the current head of government, Donald Tusk, of pursuing an anti-American policy.
The controversy follows remarks by Tusk, who said that Poland should not “poach” American troops that could potentially be relocated from Germany to Poland.
This statement opens the new video released by the vice-chairman of Law and Justice (PiS). In the clip, we hear that the prime minister is “pushing out” U.S. troops, and that even if he wanted to negotiate on this issue, due to accusations made against Donald Trump, he “has no access to the White House.”
“You’re misleading Poles into thinking you’re a pro-American prime minister, while in international media you undermine the credibility of the alliance with the United States. Years ago, you led the United Kingdom out of the European Union. Now you are leading allies out of Poland. Who will be next? Time for TuskExit”, we hear in the recording, which the former prime minister captioned with the comment “saboteur.”
