Today is International Holocaust Remembrance Day

Today is Holocaust Memorial Day. On this occassion, we remember the 6 million Jews and millions more, who lost their lives at the hands of the Nazis. On International Holocaust Remembrance Day, we bow our heads to over millions of Victims and Survivors who survived the hell of Auschwitz.

Between 1941 and 1945, six million Jewish men, women and children were murdered by the Nazis and their collaborators. Their attempt to murder all the Jews in Europe, shook the foundations of civilisation.

78 years after the liberation of the German Nazi concentration and extermination camp Auschwitz-Birkenau, the memory of the atrocities of those events is still alive. The result of hatred was a planned, horrific crime. Its traces will forever remain in our minds.
