In a devastating incident on Saturday evening, three teenagers, aged 17 to 19, lost their lives in a fatal accident involving an Audi. The collision with a Peugeot resulted in the Audi overturning, and a video capturing the tragic event has circulated online.
The tragedy unfolded around 8:30 PM at the intersection of Młodzieżowa and Paderewskiego streets in the Zawada district of Wodzisław Śląski. Preliminary investigations indicate that the Peugeot driver attempted to turn left onto Paderewskiego Street, leading to a head-on collision with the oncoming Audi. The Audi spun around and, moments later, ended up on the roadside, flipping onto its roof. The vehicle was left destroyed.
The Peugeot had a lone occupant, while the Audi carried five individuals aged between 17 and 19, including a young girl. The 18-year-old driver of the Audi and two passengers, aged 18 and 19, lost their lives at the scene. The remaining occupants, a 17-year-old girl and a 19-year-old, were transported to hospitals. The teenage girl is in critical condition under the care of doctors at a hospital in Katowice. All individuals involved in the accident were residents of the Wodzisław County.
A 24-year-old Peugeot driver was also taken to the hospital after the accident. Following examination, it was determined that hospitalization was unnecessary. The man was subsequently detained.
