During a program featuring Rafał Trzaskowski, Sławomir Mentzen asked him a very uncomfortable question. The Civic Coalition (KO) candidate insisted to the end that he had no idea what it was about. The issue concerned the management of his official profile from abroad. Trzaskowski followed the principle: “Deny everything, even if you’re caught red-handed.”
“Who from Hungary was managing your Facebook account?” asked Sławomir Mentzen.
“I have no idea what you’re talking about,” replied the KO candidate.
Trzaskowski began to dodge the question, asking which account was being referred to, and suggested that perhaps a supporter had created a page in his favor. Mentzen clarified that he was referring to the politician’s official profile, trying to cut off further speculation.
The hate campaign scandal resurfaces
The Confederation MP explained that thanks to increased transparency from Meta, it was possible to access data showing that Rafał Trzaskowski’s official Facebook profile was managed by individuals located in Hungary and Belgium.
“This is particularly interesting because the company Estratos, which organized the entire hate campaign against me using foreign funding, just so happens to have branches and offices in Hungary and Belgium. Precisely the same locations where the people managing your Facebook profile are based,” said the program host.
Mentzen added that once the media began reporting on the situation and the scandal erupted, the two individuals based abroad stopped managing the account.
“This is the first time I’m hearing about this. I’d be happy to look into it. I don’t know which account you’re referring to,” Trzaskowski insisted.
