Trzaskowski Lost Because He Ignored the Polish People. The Data Is Devastating

According to Onet.pl, a new report offers a stark explanation for why Rafał Trzaskowski has once again lost the election. The failure lies in his campaign, Donald Tusk’s leadership, and a lack of respect for local Poland.

Tusk and the Elites Disconnected from the Nation

Rafał Trzaskowski has suffered his second defeat in a presidential election. This time, however, the result comes as no surprise. According to a report by the European Analytical Collective Res Futura, published on June 3, Poles delivered a clear verdict on his campaign—it was detached from reality, and the Civic Coalition candidate failed to understand the people he aimed to represent.

As many as 22.6% of social media users identified campaign missteps as the primary reason for his loss. A further 18.4% pointed to his lack of connection with local communities, while 15.3% highlighted his ties to foreign elites, including George Soros.

One of the most prominent criticisms, however, concerns Donald Tusk and the leadership of the Civic Coalition. Over 26% of respondents directly blamed them for Trzaskowski’s defeat. An additional 6.1% pointed to liberal media outlets, which, in their view, failed to resonate with ordinary citizens and ignored their real concerns.

The Res Futura report also shows that Trzaskowski’s positions on the Green Deal and the EU migration pact played a significant role—viewed by many as symbolic of his detachment from Poland’s national interest. His personal conduct also did little to help: he avoided debates, showed arrogance toward opponents, and often failed to provide clear answers.

The newly elected president, Karol Nawrocki, not only attracted support from backers of Donald Trump (21%) and the Confederation party (14%), but above all, became a symbol of resistance to the political establishment. A striking 31% of voters cast their ballot for him specifically “against Trzaskowski.”
