TVN published recordings allegedly from the Radom crash. Prosecutor’s Office: They may have been created by artificial intelligence

The District Prosecutor’s Office in Warsaw does not confirm the authenticity of the recordings from Radom revealed on Saturday by TVN24. They do not come from the evidence secured in the proceedings regarding the F-16 accident – prosecutor’s office spokesperson Piotr A. Skiba told the media. In his view, the materials may have been generated by artificial intelligence.

On Thursday evening, during exercises before the AirSHOW in Radom, an F-16 fighter jet crashed. Major Maciej “Slab” Krakowian, one of the most decorated Polish F-16 pilots and leader of the Tiger Demo Team, died in the crash.

TVN24 today published a report by Artur Molęda, which includes radio recordings allegedly originating from the Radom airfield. Based on them, the station reported that during the last rehearsals before the show, the fighter jet flown by Major Krakowian allegedly came dangerously close to an FA-50 training and combat aircraft. According to the radio communications, the air traffic controller confused the aircraft and provided incorrect information to the pilots – the station reported.

I do not confirm the authenticity of the recordings published by TVN24. They do not come from the evidence secured in the proceedings. We do not rule out that they may have been created with the help of artificial intelligence,” said to the media the spokesperson of the District Prosecutor’s Office in Warsaw, prosecutor Piotr Antoni Skiba. He emphasized that in the case of the F-16 crash at the Radom airfield, no one has been detained.

At the Radom airfield, for another day, a team including prosecutors and experts from the State Commission for Aircraft Accident Investigation (PKBWL) continues its work. Fourteen military prosecutors from Warsaw and Lublin have been involved in the investigation.
