The Polish Armed Forces are mourning the loss of Brigadier General Adam Marczak, the Chief of Staff of the EU Althea Operation Command in Mons, who passed away on Tuesday, March 26, 2024. The announcement was made via Twitter by the Operational Command of the Armed Forces.
In a statement, the term “unexpected death” was used to describe the passing of General Marczak, indicating that his demise occurred due to natural causes during his off-duty hours.
General Adam Marczak dedicated years of service to the military, initially serving in the 6th Airborne Brigade and later in the Special Forces Command. His career trajectory saw him ascend to the position of commander of the 25th Air Cavalry Brigade in 2017.
Between 2020 and 2021, General Marczak assumed the role of Chief of the Commencement and Electronic Warfare Department at the General Staff of the Armed Forces Operational Command. Subsequently, in August 2021, he took on the responsibility of Deputy Chief of Staff at the Eurocorps Command.
Throughout his military journey, General Marczak demonstrated unwavering commitment and leadership, leaving an indelible mark on the Polish Armed Forces. His sudden demise has left a void within the ranks, and his contributions to the nation’s defense will be remembered with respect and gratitude.
