    Wim Fissette Joins Iga Świątek’s Team Ahead of WTA Finals: A New Era Begins

    Belgian coach Wim Fissette has joined forces with Polish tennis star Iga Świątek, marking an exciting new chapter for the World No. 1. Fissette, who has followed Świątek’s career since her junior Wimbledon victory in 2018, expressed his enthusiasm about the partnership, calling Świątek a “role model for many players.” 

    Wim Fissette: A Seasoned Coach Ready to Elevate Iga Świątek’s Game

    Fissette brings significant experience, having coached elite players like Naomi Osaka, Victoria Azarenka, and Simona Halep. He first encountered Świątek when his then-player Angelique Kerber won the senior Wimbledon title the same year Świątek triumphed in the juniors. Since then, he has closely observed her rise to prominence, participating in shared training sessions and witnessing her fierce competitiveness firsthand.
