    World War II Bomb Discovered in Gdynia Port Leads to Evacuation

    A World War II-era aerial bomb weighing 250 kilograms was uncovered in the bustling Gdynia Port on Thursday afternoon, leading to the evacuation of approximately 200 people, local authorities have confirmed.

    The bomb was found during construction work at the Indian Quay of the port, a significant hub for maritime trade. Following the discovery, bomb disposal experts from Rozewie were promptly called to the scene.

    By 3:00 PM, the specialists had safely removed the unexploded ordnance and transported it to a military range for controlled detonation. The operation necessitated the temporary evacuation of workers and nearby residents to ensure public safety.
