Waldemar Żurek felt entirely at ease – a whole room full of women watched him closely, listening to his every word, while he, with his hand in his pocket (!), talked about his political plans, often bragging. The atmosphere in the hall was both amusing and unsettling, but internet users judged it in their own way.
The Women’s Council in Książ took place on 19 November. The room was filled exclusively with women – and him, Waldemar Żurek. In ministerial corridors, people gossip that the head of the ministry is known for his weakness for the fair sex, so his confidence during such a meeting is hardly surprising. He even went so far as to suggest a boxing match with… President Karol Nawrocki.
He had no qualms about keeping his hand in his pocket while answering the ladies’ questions. Not only did he ignore comments aimed at insulting the head of state, he even joined in with his own jokes, to the full approval of the female audience.
A Żurek-Nawrocki Fight?
One of the participants, joining the discussion, remarked that Karol Nawrocki “won’t read the Constitution anyway, because he doesn’t have time.” – “In short, he needs to train,” she added.
The head of the Ministry of Justice slipped into this convention effortlessly, eager to show what sacrifices he was ready to make. Żurek said: “I also need to start training. I once said I would face him (Nawrocki – ed.) in the ring. Whoever stays in the ring decides the system,” drawing laughter from the crowd of women. He added that he would need to train five hours a day. “He already has the right weight. Now I just need to get the definition in,” he joked, again to the approval of the room.
Comments from internet users leave no doubt – many would happily pay to watch such a spectacle. Most of them, however, give Żurek little chance of winning this matchup.
During the meeting, he also threatened the president with the State Tribunal (TS), and again spoke about “neo-judges”. This time, he talked about “kicking them out” of the Supreme Court (SN). We remind the minister that he is treading on thin ice, not solid ground.
