Zbigniew Ziobro did not mince words when summarizing the recent actions of Donald Tusk’s government and its neglect of health policy. “Donald, stop embarrassing yourself and get to work,” said the former Minister of Justice in an interview with TV Republika.
Ziobro harshly commented on Tusk’s policies, accusing the Prime Minister of neglecting the healthcare system and failing to take real action in response to the oncology crisis. His statements come in a broader political context: on Friday, the Sejm (Polish parliament) lifted his immunity, and the former minister is currently in Hungary, where he continues his media offensive against the government.
Tusk’s government’s negligence is a tragedy for cancer patients
“Donald, stop embarrassing yourself and get to work, because in Poland, people with cancer are dying because of you,” said Ziobro.
He pointed out that timely treatment is crucial in cancer cases, yet under current circumstances, many seriously ill patients in Poland cannot access it.
“Thousands of Poles and their families are experiencing a tragedy. Media reports say that in many cities, Lublin, Rzeszów, surgeries for seriously ill cancer patients are being postponed until next year. This is because Donald Tusk’s government is not paying for these procedures,” the politician added.
“What kind of clown is this man who is now the Prime Minister, I wonder,” Ziobro remarked while commenting on Tusk’s recent social media activity. The Prime Minister recently posted a video in which he said his favorite film is Star Wars. However, he did not address the issue of the dramatic crisis in Poland’s hospital system.
