You can expect nothing good from Żurek, but a public declaration by the minister of justice of his admiration for the secret-police methods of dealing with political opponents is – I admit – a surprise,” said Law and Justice (PiS) MP Zbigniew Ziobro, commenting on Żurek’s words.

Minister of Justice Waldemar Żurek told the Onet portal that the actions surrounding the case of Zbigniew Ziobro are being carried out in accordance with the law.
“We have free media and free courts. We follow procedures. Honestly, if we wanted to, we would bring him in a car trunk. Services around the world do such things, it’s nothing new. We apply the law and its rules. And Mr Ziobro? He’s pulling the wool over people’s eyes by talking about alleged harassment,” said the minister of justice.
Zbigniew Ziobro himself responded to these words on the social platform X.

Step by step, their Soviet breeding is crawling out… And the nerves – after all, his boss has already assured that ‘there will be an arrest’. So if the court is to be just a formality, like under communism, then why not a car trunk?”
