Polish pilots training to fly on F-35s soon

In 2021, the first Polish pilots will be trained to fly F-35 fighters, the head of the Ministry of National Defense, Mariusz Błaszczak, announced on Wednesday. The minister also talked about cash awards for the soldiers who helped drivers who stuck in Dover.

In January, an agreement was signed for the purchase by Poland of 32 fifth-generation F-35 combat aircraft manufactured in the USA. The value of the contract – as reported by the Ministry of National Defense – is $ 4.6 billion. The head of the ministry was asked about this transaction on TV Trwam.

“Already in 2021, we will send the first pilots to train to fly on the F-35,” he announced.

As he recalled, “in 2024, the first aircraft ordered in January 2020 will be delivered to the Polish Air Force.”

“I am not afraid of delays. (..) There will be no such delays,” he added.

“The first period of use of these aircraft will be training Polish pilots on already Polish F-35 aircraft in the United States,” said Błaszczak.
