President Andrzej Duda signed the law on the ratification of the decision on the European Union’s own resources system, the President’s Office informed. The act has already been published in the Journal of Laws.
The act declares the consent of the parliament for the President to ratify the Council’s decision of December 14, 2020 on the system of own resources of the European Union.
The ratification of this decision by all EU Member States is necessary to, among others, the Reconstruction Fund was launched.
The act signed on Friday by the president was published in the Journal of Laws on the same day. It will come into force on Saturday. The Sejm adopted it on May 4, and on Thursday it was supported by the Senate.
Contrary to earlier announcements, the Senate did not agree yesterday to adopt amendments to the ratification act of the European Reconstruction Fund.
