Poland was the second-largest beer producer in the European Union in 2020, according to data published on Thursday by the European Statistical Office (Eurostat).
The first place among the EU countries, where the largest amount of the golden liquor is produced, took, not surprisingly, Germany. The country accounts for almost a quarter (24%) of total EU production (7.5 billion liters).
Germany was followed by Poland, with 3.8 bn liters produced annually. It accounts for 12% of the EU beer production. Spain came in third with 3.3 billion liters (10%).
