The 35th edition of the Europa Karpat (English: Europe of the Carpathians) conference begins in Krasiczyn on Friday, 24 February. The themes are closely linked to the current geopolitical situation. They deal with fundamental issues of European unity and cooperation in the region in the face of a multifaceted crisis caused by war.
The event is a series of international conferences and a forum for dialogue encompassing the countries on whose territory the Carpathians are located, as well as neighbouring countries. The 35th edition of the conference will run until 26 February 2023.

Europa Karpat conference to discuss Central Europe
In ten panels, politicians, journalists, businesspeople, and cultural figures will discuss Central Europe in the international security system and the support and reconstruction of Ukraine on its way to the European Union, among others. The participants will also talk about freedom in the Carpathian region, what it was and how it looks nowadays.
Prominent participants
The Deputy Speaker of the Sejm Ryszard Terlecki, the Deputy Speaker of the Senate Marek Pęk, the Head of the Prime Minister’s Chancellery Marek Kuchciński, the Minister of Climate and Environment Anna Moskwa, the Minister of Family and Social Policy Anna Maląg, the Minister of European Funds Grzegorz Puda, the Minister of Infrastructure Andrzej Adamczyk, the Minister of Education Przemysław Czarnek, the EU Commissioner for Agriculture Janusz Wojciechowski, and the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development of the European Union Janusz Wojciechowski, among others, will attend the conference.
Tomasz Sakiewicz, the editor-in-chief of the newspapers ‘Gazeta Polska’ weekly and ‘Gazeta Polska Codziennie,’ will participate online in the panel “Carpathian Europe Freedom Archive” on Friday 24 February from 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm (GMT +1).
