The Russians have left explosives everywhere – on the doors of homes, and inside washing machines, refrigerators and microwaves. The bodies of over 1,000 civilians killed by Russian soldiers have so far been found in the Kyiv region, Kyiv Region Police Chief Andriy Niebytov commented to journalists on 19 April.
Previous information from the local police, released on April 15, indicated about 900 victims of Russian aggression.
“The vast majority of murdered people died from firearms. Only in the town of Bucha, northwest of Kyiv, the deaths of more than 420 civilians have been confirmed so far. These numbers are still growing. As residents return to their homes and find people killed in residential buildings, cellars, wells,” Niebytov reported.
The police chief informed that 48 bodies of civilians from the Kyiv region were transported to the morgue in the last 24 hours. He also added that 12 cases of death or personal injury from explosives (mines and other objects) left by Russian soldiers have been reported since the beginning of April.
“The Russians have left explosives everywhere – on the doors of homes, and inside washing machines, refrigerators and microwaves. Even cemeteries have been rigged with explosives – explosive experts found 13 booby traps in just one cemetery in the Kyiv region,” Ukrainian Pravda informs.
Earlier on Tuesday, the State Bureau of Investigation of Ukraine announced that 16 burial places of local people murdered by Russian troops had been found in the capital region. As emphasized, nearly 700 hectares of land were examined together with over 10,000 buildings. It has been found that Russians used in residential areas, e.g., anti-personnel mines, tank missiles and the Iskander-M ballistic missile.
