Police officers from the Mazowieckie and Kujawsko-Pomorskie Voivodeships are seeking two criminals who yesterday (16.06) shortly after a burglary rammed a police car, while the police attempted to apprehend them. Police officers used weapons. Among others, a police helicopter was used during the ongoing roundup.
Yesterday evening, there was a burglary into a flat in Golub-Dobrzyn (Kujawsko-Pomorskie Voivodeship). Two men stole money and silver chains from its interior. Information about the crime reached police officers in Plock. Police officers decided to detain the suspects. While trying to do so, one of the policemen grabbed the passenger of the vehicle, whose driver started to run away. While fleeing the Audi, they rammed an unmarked police car and another car standing nearby.
The policeman was pushed out of the car after several metres, as a result of which he suffered injuries to his arm. He required medical care. During an attempt to stop the fugitives, the police officers used weapons, shooting at the tyres of the perpetrators’ car.
The suspects abandoned the damaged Audi in a forest several kilometres away. After the men escaped, an alert was issued for several units from the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Voivodship, including dog handlers. The police helicopter, as well as police officers from the Independent Police Subdivision in Plock, were also sent to the operation. The search for the men is still underway.
