Ukrainian services have found 1,600 unidentified bodies since the beginning of the Russian full-scale attack on Ukraine, Ukrinform quoted Ukraine’s Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Kateryna Pavlichenko.
“According to the National Police, we currently have more than 1,600 unidentified bodies on the territory of Ukraine. But a certain number of territories are still under occupation, and we understand that this picture is not complete,” Kateryna Pavlichenko, Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs, said for Ukrinform.
According to her, the largest number of bodies of burnt civilians has so far been found in the Kyiv region. According to the deputy minister, Russian soldiers burned the bodies to cover the traces of other crimes.
“And we are aware that the occupiers burned the bodies to hide the traces of other crimes. Therefore, where it is possible to conduct examinations of bodies for sexual violence, they are conducted there,” Pavlyuchenko pointed out.
