    Italians elected a new parliament [VIDEO]

    The parliamentary elections were won by a centre-right coalition composed of three parties: the Brothers of Italy, the Northern League, and Forza Italia. Giorgia Meloni is to be Prime Minister, she will be the first woman to hold this position in the history of Italy.

    Yesterday the Italians elected a new parliament. The first partial results show a victory for the centre-right coalition. Turnout was 64%, which is low compared to previous election campaigns. Now, according to the Italian constitution, the newly elected parliament must convene within twenty days.
