Polish national women’s team lost 0:3 (21:25, 21:25, 21:25) against Japan in the match of the fifth round of the Nations League in the Philippine Quezon City. It is the second defeat of the White-Red team in the competition.
The beginning of the match was not easy for the Polish team. The Japanese quickly took control of the game. In their characteristic way, they played flawlessly in defence. The second set started much better than the previous one. The Japanese were leading, but not as strongly. Unfortunately, the Poles did not manage to win it.
At the beginning of the third set, the Polish players were keeping pace with the Japanese, but with every point, the Japanese team was getting more motivated. Coach Lavarini tried some changes, but despite an ambitious fight, Poland lost to the Nations League leaders 21:25, and in the whole match 0:3.
