    Kinga Dróżdż won 'Kiliński's Saber'! – IWAS Wheelchair Fencing World Cup 2022 in Warsaw

    IWAS Wheelchair Fencing World Cup 2022 ‘Kiliński’s Saber’ has been officially organised and put in the World Cup calendar since 2001. These are twenty years of great history and touching memories, spectacular victories and surprising decisions, celebrated together in an atmosphere of friendship, mutual respect and admiration for the craftsmanship and effort of disabled masters of fencing. This year, the winner of the competitions is our Polish fencer Kinga Dróżdż! But there are more victories of Poland and Castro, Dąbrowski and Pluta went home with medals!

    From 4 to 7 July, the Airport Hotel Okęcie in the southwest part of Warsaw was the host of the competitions in which 180 competitors from 25 countries will duel for the ‘Kiliński’s Saber’.

    In the final of the A category, Kinga Dróżdż beat the British representant Gemma Collis-McCann with the score 15:11 and won the Kiliński’s Saber! 

    In addition, Poles won 3 medals in B category too!

    1st place for Adrian Castro

    2nd place for Michał Dąbrowski

    3rd place ex aequo Grzegorz Pluta and Shah Rashid from Great Britain
