    Poland’s commitment to strengthening its armed forces is reflected in its budget allocations. In 2015, defense expenditures stood at 37 billion PLN, but in 2023, they have surpassed 137 billion PLN, exceeding 3% of the GDP. Premier Morawiecki attributes this significant increase to fiscal reforms that tackled VAT-related issues and redirected funds to vital institutions like the one in Dęblin.

    Poland’s aspiration is to maintain a military so formidable that no aggressor would dare to challenge the nation. This deterrence is built on both the size and technological prowess of the armed forces. Poland is actively recruiting new soldiers, establishing new units, and procuring state-of-the-art equipment, such as the F-35 fighter jets and Korean-made FA-50 aircraft. Additionally, Poland remains committed to its NATO obligations, contributing to the alliance’s collective defense.
