Israeli forces rescue four hostages from Hamas, including a Polish citizen, in a major Gaza operation.

Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) successfully rescued four hostages from Hamas in a major operation in central Gaza. The hostages, including 25-year-old Noa Argamani, 21-year-old Almog Meir Jan, 27-year-old Andrej Kozlov, and 40-year-old Shlomi Ziv, were abducted on October 7 during the Supernova music festival near Kibbutz Re’im.

    Polish Citizen Among the Rescued

Ambassador of Israel to Poland confirmed that Almog Meir Jan, one of the rescued, holds dual Israeli and Polish citizenship. All four hostages are reported to be in good health and are currently undergoing further medical evaluation at Tel Hashomer Hospital in Israel.

The operation, led by IDF spokesperson Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari, involved coordinated strikes from land, air, and sea on potential threats to the rescue units. Gaza authorities reported dozens of casualties as a result of these strikes. This operation marks the largest rescue effort since the conflict in Gaza escalated in October 2023.
