Krakow’s MPO sends equipment and volunteers to aid Nysa’s flood recovery efforts with specialized post-disaster cleanup support.

A convoy of specialized equipment from Krakow’s Municipal Waste Management Company (MPO) departed Monday morning to assist flood-affected Nysa in the Opole region. The team, consisting of 12 volunteer workers, will aid in cleaning up post-flood areas.

    Specialized Equipment Deployed

The convoy includes seven specialized vehicles, chosen in coordination with local authorities to ensure their usefulness. Among the equipment are two hook-lift trucks with 40 cubic meter containers, two large water trucks with 16 cubic meter tanks, a technical emergency vehicle, a utility van with essential tools, and a heavy-duty backhoe loader.

    Mission: Restoring Order

The Krakow team will focus on removing water, mud, and debris from roads and residential areas. Volunteers will also assist in restoring access to basic services for local residents. The equipment is expected to arrive in Nysa by Monday afternoon, with operations beginning immediately upon arrival.
