Arek Nowiński has been named President of Global Markets at Volvo Cars, marking a significant moment in automotive history. Starting in November 2024, Nowiński becomes the first Pole to hold such a senior role within the global structures of Volvo Cars, overseeing markets across Europe, North America, Asia-Pacific, and Latin America. Reporting directly to Volvo’s CEO, Jim Rowan, Nowiński will also manage relationships with global importers and shape the brand’s worldwide sales strategy.
From Local Leadership to Global Influence
Nowiński’s career with Volvo spans over two decades. He began in Volvo Car Poland in 2004, serving as president for 12 years before climbing the ranks to regional leadership roles. As the head of the EMEA region, he led impressive growth, with Volvo’s market share reaching a record 2.8% by 2023. His leadership has been characterized by strategic thinking and adaptability, resulting in significant expansion and sales growth for the brand.
