Poland’s national football team will be without their star striker Robert Lewandowski in upcoming matches against Portugal and Scotland. The Polish Football Association (PZPN) announced that Lewandowski, due to a back injury, will miss the training camp starting Monday in Porto.

    Lewandowski’s Absence

Lewandowski sustained a back injury during his Sunday league match against Real Sociedad, which ended in a 0-1 loss for his team. As a result, Poland’s captain is expected to be sidelined for approximately ten days, missing critical encounters for his national team.

    Upcoming Matches and Challenges

Poland will take on Portugal in Porto on November 15, followed by a game against Scotland in Warsaw on November 18. Currently, Poland stands in a challenging third position in Group A1 of the Nations League, with Portugal leading at ten points. The Polish squad, with four points, faces an uphill battle to progress to the quarterfinals.

Without Lewandowski, Poland’s path becomes even tougher, requiring strong performances from other players.
