– The aim of the development of the Polish economy is for talented people who have the gene for innovation, whose DNA includes the search for new paths, to find the best place to function here – said Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki during the Impact’21 Congress.
During his speech, the Head of Government mentioned the participants of the congress, including YouTube CEO Susan Wojcicki and Natalia Brzezinski, who is – as the Prime Minister said – the head of the strategy of one of the highest valued financial startups in Europe.
“Our goal, the goal of the development of the Polish economy is that people with such talents could build the Polish economy, the European economy here on Polish soil. So that this difficult fate, which threw the Poles, especially in the first half of the 20th century, but also in the second half of the 20th century, to various countries, scattered them all over the world, would change,” he emphasized.
“We are on the eve of a pivotal time for the whole world, the thing of course involves coming out of Covid-19. Just yesterday we asked if it would be possible to return to a relatively normal life. Today we ask what the future will look like because we know it will look different,” said Mateusz Morawiecki.
The Prime Minister stressed that it is no coincidence that Poland was the only large European country to create new jobs.
“Poland also prides itself on having the lowest unemployment rate in the entire EU. This is a great joy because it also means that we could somehow weaken the blade of the virus attack on Polish families. We see so much of how economic and social factors are intertwined,” he assessed.
