The Prime Minister assures: You will not be left alone!

The inhabitants of Nowa Biała suffered a huge tragedy, but the Polish state will not leave them alone, declared Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki on Monday. The most important thing will be help in the reconstruction of houses and farm buildings, experts are already estimating the losses, he added.

At a press conference in Lublin, the Prime Minister referred to the situation after the fire that broke out in Nowa Biała in the Małopolska voivodeship on Saturday evening. The head of government remarked that the inhabitants suffered a terrible tragedy.

“On the other hand, the most important thing will be assistance in the reconstruction of houses and farm buildings. Today, experts estimate the losses in order to be able to refinance and finance very quickly – directly for the residents of Nowa Biała,” said the Prime Minister.

In addition, as he said, the government wanted to invest more funds in preventing possible further fires in Nowa Biała and the surrounding villages. Morawiecki said that this area was exposed to fires due to the dense, so-called “spiska” buildings. He added that he meant to regulate fire streams and parts of rivers so that they would best serve firefighters when necessary.
