Piano autumn with Mozart in Łódź

All the piano concertos created by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart will be available in Łódź as part of the “Polish Camerata gives concerts to its city” series of free concerts that began on Sunday. Eight performances are planned as part of it.

The musicians will play masterpieces of the Austrian composer and keyboard virtuoso every Sunday until December 5 at the G. and K. Bacewicz Academy of Music in Łódź and the City Art Gallery in Łódź – Art Propaganda Center in the H. Sienkiewicz Park.

“Although all Mozart’s piano concertos are masterpieces of the highest quality, it is customary for pianists to play only some of them. No musical event in Poland has ever presented them to the public in full. It is important to be able to fully appreciate Mozart’s genius, as well as his extraordinary musical imagination, which he used to compose piano concertos,” emphasized the conductor and initiator of “Polish Camerata gives concerts to its city” Marek Głowacki.

He pointed out that one of the most famous is Piano Concerto No. 21 in C major (KV 467), composed by Mozart in 1785. The XXI Piano Concerto in C major (KV 467) will be performed on September 26 in the concert hall of the Academy of Music in Łódź.
