Swedish pole vault champion Armand Duplantis has taken to social media to find a special Polish fan. This August, during the 15th Kamila Skolimowska Memorial, Duplantis plans to present his competition bib to this dedicated supporter.
The search stems from last year’s Diamond League event in Chorzów, where a fan was photographed requesting Duplantis’s bib. Now, he hopes to fulfill her wish at this year’s meet.
“Hey Poland! We’re trying to find the girl from this photo. Last year at the Diamond League in Chorzów, she asked for my bib number. So, social media, let’s do this! Let’s go on a hunt to find this person so I can give her my bib at this year’s event,” Duplantis announced.
The event is set for August 25 at the Silesian Stadium in Chorzów, two weeks after the Paris Olympics.
