ŁKS Łódź supporters, who prepared the patriotic display that security services did not allow into the Poland-Netherlands match at PGE Narodowy, presented that display during their team’s match in the First League. “Brilliant work!” comments the national team supporters’ association “It’s Us, the Poles!”.
During the World Cup qualifying match in which Poland faced the Netherlands at PGE Narodowy Stadium, fans were not allowed to bring a patriotic display into the stands. It was a sector banner with the image of a crowned eagle and the slogan “Go Poland!”, along with 300 national flags. By the decision of the security services, the effort of the fans who had been preparing the display for many weeks was ruined.
First, the artwork from the display was shown on the Presidential Palace. Karol Nawrocki supports the Polish national team and, before the match against Malta, the slogan “Go Poland!” was projected onto the palace façade.
Yesterday, the display finally appeared at a stadium. The sector banner was shown during the First League match ŁKS Łódź – Wisła Kraków. ŁKS supporters are the authors of the display, so they presented it at their team’s match.
“It will be beautiful again, it will be normal again…” writes the association “It’s Us, the Poles!”, responsible for leading the chants at Poland national team matches. The display was called “a brilliant piece of work”. “Let Poland finally unite us!” – the fans appealed.
