“That’s what someone who’s terribly afraid of the truth looks like,” said Tomasz Sakiewicz, referring to the physical attack on TV Republika journalist Michał Gwardyński. The reporter was literally thrown out of the hall where Rafał Trzaskowski’s debate was taking place.
On Friday, in Końskie, TV Republika held a debate. Immediately afterward, the candidates headed to a sports hall where Rafał Trzaskowski organized his own event. However, TV Republika’s journalists were not allowed inside.
At one point, Michał Gwardyński was physically removed from the room by “strong men.” Among them was KO (Civic Coalition) MP Patryk Jaskulski.
Masked security guards and a member of Rafał Trzaskowski’s campaign team, Michał Marcinkiewicz, barred entry to the hall. Notably, some members of Karol Nawrocki’s campaign team were permitted inside the sports hall.
“Physical force, a violation of personal inviolability,” reported Miłosz Kłeczek on the scene. He reminded everyone that, following yesterday’s incident involving Trzaskowski’s security guards, journalist Janusz Życzkowski ended up with broken ribs.
“That’s what someone who’s terribly afraid of the truth looks like. Terribly afraid of democracy,” commented TV Republika president Tomasz Sakiewicz.
